What we solve, and how

While Web3 offers unparalleled opportunities for the Gaming industry, it also comes with its own challenges:

  • Game Discovery — Currently, there is no ‘go-to’ launcher for Web3 games, like with Steam and the Epic Games Store for mainstream gaming. The industry is fragmented by a wide variety of protocols, supported devices and the growth in competition of distribution platforms

  • Wallet creation — Players new to Web3 often struggle to understand, create and use a wallet. Loading up on blockchain-based assets can pose a challenge, especially if your country of residence is not Web3-friendly

  • Lack of understanding — Traditional gamers often discard Web3 as “yet another rip-off” from the gaming industry, and few - if any - Web3 titles have been able to “show by example” the benefits of ownership and interoperability that Web3 provides

  • Fragmentation — The products and tools used in Web3 gaming are owned and operated by a vast array of different entities, with varying interests in Gaming and the industry at large; players have a hard time finding the best products and tools that not only fulfill their needs, but have the health of the industry at heart

  • Lack of sustainability in play-to-earn — Play-to-earn games have often been credited with “ponzinomics”, with economies built upon a consistent inflow of new players pushing the economy, and a lack of sustainability and consistency in the expectation of earnings

  • Underutilization of NFTs as status symbols — Beyond aesthetic artistry, Gaming NFTs can be used to display progress and skill across a plethora of games, without the need to dive into stats on various platforms

  • Data as a non-factor — While user-generated data is among the most important resources to traditional game developers, especially within free-to-play titles, data has been underutilized in the Web3 Gaming space

  • Community building — Creating a sustainable community around a Web3 game, which holds gameplay and tokenomics in even stead, is both very difficult and very important for long-term sustainability

  • Lack of trust — Due to a poor public perception of blockchain technology in general, trust in Web3 Gaming has diminished

Spielworks’ ecosystem offers solutions to all of these challenges, with both our existing product portfolio, and future products, services and features.

Our solutions

  • Easy onboarding and wallet experiences — Wombat offers smooth and straightforward way to enter the world of web3 and become familiar with wallets, including key backups without the need for recovery phrases across most major gaming-related blockchains

  • Trusted 360° experience — all major tools and services required to delve into Web3 gaming are handily available

  • Multiplatform & multichain game launcher — thanks to the vast scope of Wombat, people can easily discover and play a huge library of top Web3 titles - and even add their favorites that aren’t listed in the app

  • Smooth introduction to Web3 — thanks to non-intrusive and engaging Web3 funnels, Wombat eases players into the concept of true ownership in a non-committal and risk-free way. This reinforces the notion that Web3 can, and should, be a valuable aspect of their playing experience

  • Extra utility layers for NFTs — in Wombat and Dungeon Master, NFTs serve not only as means of building one’s identity, but also as a gateway to building new social connections around games, and take part in value generation in the ecosystem

  • Equity for new and seasoned players — ease of onboarding is of paramount importance to Spielworks, and we’ve managed to achieve steady growth in users without creating co-dependencies between newcomers and seasoned players. Value is created and distributed in a way that is both proportional to everyone’s input, and negates any possibility of cannibalizing early adopters

  • Data as the value and insight accelerator — throughout our existence, Spielworks has utilized willingly shared player data to streamline the overall experience of our products. With the introduction of AI to this ecosystem, said data becomes an asset to whoever generates it, allowing players to capitalize on their skills, the training data they create, and its value to others
